THE Northam Railways Football Club marked the end of its season at the Northam Town Hall with a presentation dinner for more than 100 people on October 4.
The evening ran like clockwork under master of ceremonies Karen O'Driscoll.
President Rob Harris reflected on a year in which both the league and netball teams earned a grand final berth, and looked forward to next year.
Special mention was made to RFC's generous and reliable year-in year-out sponsorship and to new club sponsors, the many volunteers, committee members and loyal supporters who have stood by the club.
He said the playing group had a tough year, looking down the barrel of the season over at round 13 before banding together and proving they were a champion team deserving their right to a spot in the 2014 grand final against a victorious Cunderdin.
