DUKE'S Inn will be the place to be this Friday and Saturday night.
On Friday a special barbecue will be hosted for all Avon Descent competitors and support staff. A delicious selection of Harvey Beef sirloin steaks, lamb on the spit, cajun spiced chicken, caramelised onions will be on offer.
Salads such as potato and roast corn with seeded mustard aioli, coleslaw with honey lemon dressing, fresh garden greens will also be available. The Saturday night will be pasta-oriented with tuna, chicken and vegetarian options. Both get-togethers are $30 per person per night.
Duke's Inn still has limited accommodation available for the Avon Descent weekend but hurry.
The heritage-listed property has been transformed into a gracious venue.
The project is the brainchild of Frank and Ilona Delanotte who have a history of successful property development. The public areas have a special ambience with some eclectic fittings and furnishings for added interest.
The accommodation options are also attractive. In the main building, the rooms have been furnished to a five-star standard, and you won't mind the communal bathroom facilities once you see their new and sparkling finishes. The property also has en-suite rooms and apartments a few metres from the main hotel.
