THE annual Bakers Hill Junior Golf Open Challenge was held on July 16 with an enthusiastic group of keen junior golfers aged from five to 17 fronting up on what proved to be a glorious day for golf.
The event was being held for the seventh year running and the future is set to intensify as interest in the sport from juniors in the Avon Valley escalates.
It is the only open event held for junior golfers in the Avon Valley.
Competitors vyed for their part of a prize pool of almost $1000 worth of golfing and electronic gear.
Many thanks must go to Holger Lubotski of LQC Group and also to Healthways Smarter than Smoking and the Department of Sport and Recreation for their ongoing sponsorship of the event.
