THANK you to those helpers who attended the recent rose pruning working bee at the Memorial Rose Garden.
Wayne Laird, Renarta Gray, Trish Wessman, Lisa Bromwell, Andrew Laird and I made a great start, but with 210 to prune there are still plenty to do.
On Sunday, August 10, three representatives from the Western Australian Rose Society will be at the Meckering Memorial Rose Garden.
These people have kindly offered their time to show how to prune 25 of the roses.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to prune, ask questions and a sausage sizzle lunch will be provided afterwards.
We plan to start earlier in the day, so there are not too many left after the demonstration.
Pruning starts at 9am and everyone is welcome to attend.

THE next tea at the Sporting Club will be held on Saturday, August 2.
All are welcome and meals can be ordered from 6.30pm onwards.
