SOUTH West Institute of Technology visited Muresk Institute on July 22.
Part of the delegation was managing director Duncan Anderson and manager commercial business Chris Mayfield.
“The south west is a quickly evolving agricultural sector and we want to learn from the people doing things really well - Muresk Institute,” Mr Anderson said.
“We are working with the Department of Training and Workforce Development, along with Muresk, to develop more skills for our region.”
Mr Anderson said the visit was also to cement industry relationships.
Topics ranged from animal nutrition and stock handling.
“A lot has happened in the south west in the last couple of months, such as big deal recently signed with a beef processor, so we are moving to support these developments,” Mr Anderson said.
