IT'S footy time again in the Avon Valley.
All the children and their friends line up for selection into the junior footie competition.
Yet again we have children sitting on the side lines waiting for a fair go and not getting it - children need to learn the following.
Enjoy playing the game with their friends, social interaction, rules and skills of the game.
I have been complaining about the logic of junior football since 1978, 79, 80.
I never got anywhere, maybe you all will.
To the parents of eager beaver children turning up for training, doing every thing that is asked of them and yet sadly, there children will never get into the team.
Now why is this you ask yourself, what is different about your children to the other game-playing children?
If there are too many kids, why not start another or more teams so every child can have a go and enjoy the game
My advice to you and your beautiful children is to attend footy training, ask the questions why all benched kids aren't given a go, take on the coaches and umpires, get your point across.
Should your questions not get an adequate response take our children from Jubilee Oval and find the soccer and hockey venue.
Your children will always get a game in soccer and hockey.
Give Aussie Rules the flick and go enjoy your children in their sport - the soccer club incorporates girls and boys into teams.
