THE quiz evening and World's Greatest Shave fundraising evening successfully raised $2400 with further donations still to come with total proceeds to go to the Leukaemia Foundation.
A few prominent heads lost their hair all for a good cause and the quiz was closely contested by several tables.
Thanks to the Tammin Hotel proprietors who sponsored the event, organisers Graham and Jenny and all those who supported it and Glen Bradley for the great job he did as MC.

IN Shire news, Council agreed to undertake immediate repairs to the basketball/netball court at Donnan Park so players from Tammin can participate in district competitions if they wish.
A 25mm asphalt cover has been applied and new line markings will be done and hopefully the court will be operational before the end of April.
As Council was unable to attract a replacement manager for the refuse site it will now be managed by the Shire.
Two important decisions were made in regard to the site, one being that it will only be available for use by residents of the Shire of Tammin and secondly the opening hours will now be restricted to two half days a week, one a week day the other on the weekend but a final decision is yet to made on this.

TAMMIN'S bowls ladies 2013-14 season champion Irene Darby represented the club at the East Avon Ladies bowls champion of champions event played at Cunderdin recently.
Irene played excellent bowls defeating the eventual winner Dot McClelland from Kellerberrin but came in r/up with less shots up.
Pippa Button represented the club in the pairs event and Jenny Shemeld, Joan Button, Reyne Ayling and Ypie Thomson in the fours.
Seven Tammin ladies and Helen Taylor from Cunderdin took part in the recent Country Week carnival with Pippa Button doing well to make it to the post sectional play off in the singles which she lost in a close game 16-17.
Pippa was also chosen to play in the country side which lost to the Metro team by just two shots and she will now go on to play in the Interzone round robin event representing the Eastern Zone and Joan Button will be manager of the team.

THE KATS team, which looks much the same as last year's premiers, has been training strongly for several weeks and will meet York in the first match which will be played at Tammin on April 12.
