PACING returned to Northam last Saturday night with Peter and Wendy Richards sponsoring the meeting.
In race three on the program Roaring Success over came interference on the last corner to get up and win by 3m for Northam trainer Jesse Moore and his long-time owner the Kanny family from Geraldton.
In race five Bronze Icon ran a great race to score easily for Pinjarra trainer Brad Groves paying the good dividend of $38.
Other locally owned or trained horses that placed were Big Jedd, Ningaloo and Been in Trouble.
There was a nasty fall in the first race where local trainer/driver Mark Roberts was taken to hospital for observation.
Mark was released from hospital early Sunday morning with a few bad bruises.
Director Whitby was a good winner for his owner and breeder Ed Dewar in the last race at Gloucester Park on Friday making it three wins in a row.
Northam’s next meeting is on Saturday, Febuary 27 where the three-year-olds step out in the Country Derby.
