LOCALLY owned and trained horses were very successful over the last week with Ohakadu Nord winning very impressively at Gloucester Park last Tuesday.
Part owners Phil Eaton, Mick Morris, Peter Morris and Clint Hunter were pleased with the win along with trainer/driver Grant Williams sending the big gelding straight to the front from barrier six to win by seven metres in the good mile rate of 1.59.6 for the 2130 metres.
On the same program local favourite Big Jedd ran third after having his usual hard run.
At Gloucester Park on Friday night the very consistent Calcutta Money was brilliantly driven by Gary Hall Jnr to get up and win by a head for York trainer Jeff Bull, paying $12.00 for a win.
He has been running some very good races of late and would pay to follow.
In the same race Longe Shorman owned by Hayley Moore and Steph de Blecourt ran a good race to run third.
In Race 5 at Gloucester Park Stumpy Gully Road continued his excellent form to storm down the outside and win for trainer Gary Elliot.
It was Stumpy Gully Road’s second win in 2 weeks and he paid the good price of $29.20 and went the fast time of 1.57.1 for the 1730 metre race.
Pacing returns to Burwood Park Northam this Saturday night with an 8-event program starting at about 7pm.
