THE under 14 boys basketball team went to Perry Lakes Stadium on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22 for the Country Basketball Championships.
The boys played five games, won one and lost four.
It was the first time that any of the boys had participated in the Country Championships.
It was also the first time for Gwen Martin as coach.
Gwen was asked by a parent and the association if she could take on the responsibility of coach two weeks before the competition.
The team played four games on the Saturday and one game on the Sunday.
The boys played very well and they all put 100 per cent into each game.
They all enjoyed the experience.
