PACING returned to Northam last Tuesday night with the very consistent Easy Ambro winning by 5 metres.
The horse was brilliantly driven by top reinsman Mark Reed.
After being stuck on the fence with a lap to go, Mark angled for a run at the 200 metre mark and the horse came through to win easily.
The win paid the very good dividend of $13.60.
Easy Ambro is part owned by locals Ken Rogers, Jack Ellison, Bruce Grafton, David Grafton and John Parkes.
The old campaigner Mustang Fighter showed his liking for the Northam track with a very gutsy second in the Grafton Electric Pace.
Mustang Fighter is part owned by Ross Hunter.
Bronwyn Passmore showed her talent as a reinsperson by driving a double at Kalgoorlie two weeks ago on the very consistent Calcutta Money and the much improved Oscar Riley for trainer Jeff Bull of York.
Both horses ran second at Kalgoorlie last Friday also.
With the weather starting to warm up, many local horses are being produced at trials and races, so we should have some good results to report over the coming few months.
There is a big seven-race program this Friday night at Burwood Park with the Northam Traders Cup the event of the night’s race program.
