After the Feddies reserves annihilated the KATS 19.14 (128) to 2.2 (14) at Jubilee Oval the league side came out with a vengeance to prove they are not the seasons easy-beats.
From the first bounce the Feddies went hard at every ball.
They dominated the first term to establish a four-goal lead.
KATS had few opportunities inside their attacking 50 and the times it did penetrate the forward line Feddies defender Dean Dick was a tough obstacle.

KATS were able to move the ball forward a lot more fluidly in the final term but let themselves down with goal kicking.
Feddies put another major on the board to maintain their lead.
Late in the game KATS found their form and strung three goals together but it was not enough to close the lead Feddies held all game.
Matt Smith, Glenn Smith and Wade Hunter were effective around the ground for Federals and put all their effort into every contest.
Scott Edmonds was effective up forward kicking three goals.
Guy Boudville was everywhere for the KATS and covered an amazing amount of ground throughout the game.
Cam Doncon played well along with Clancy Wheeler and Brad Green.
