THE Bindoon Catholic Agricultural College has started the 2012 school year with new additions to its staff structure.
Geoff Hendriks has commenced working as the college’s co-principal with Martin Tobin.
Originally from Western Australia, Mr Hendriks has been working in Melbourne for Edmund Rice Education Australia.
He has more than 30 years’ experience working in Catholic education as a teacher, principal and senior administrator.
Lee Maxfield has come across from the Christian Brothers Province office in Salter Point where she was the accountant for WA and SA.
Ms Maxfield is a certified practicing accountant with 15 years’ experience in accounting and finance and has been appointed to the new position of college accountant.
Emily O’Rourke has commenced duties as coordinator of the new Library and Learning Centre.
Over the Christmas school holidays Ms O’Rourke married Tiernan O’Rourke, the college’s agricultural science teacher.
Ms O’Rourke has come from the public library in Maylands and has a graduate diploma in information studies.
Peter Gaspar has joined the college after teaching years 4 to 7 at Yerecoin Primary School for two years since graduating from University.
Mr Gaspar will be teaching year 8 students their core subjects as well as some physical education classes.
He has also joined the local Bindoon Cricket Club.
