Community walks for breast cancer

THE community of Northam rallied together on Saturday, October 3 to walk for breast cancer.

Over 150 people arrived in Bernard Park dressed from head to toe in pink with some costumes more outrages then others.

All money raised was donated to breast cancer research and assist those suffering.

The walk was organised with the Shire of Northam recreation officers and was held in conjunction with the first Northam markets of the season held in Bernard Park.

Gaylene Blakemore was awarded best dressed for her efforts.

Other participants recognised for their costumes were the McGregor family who were awarded second place and Anika Corrigan, Raelene Ashman, Tara Zadow, Kathryn Warburton, Meagan Ashman and Deanne Ashman from In-Balance Fitness who dressed as fairies.
